Hospice New Zealand is actively involved in education and workforce development and is committed to collaboratively building capacity and capability (internally and externally) in palliative care practice, across a range of professions and settings via the provision of palliative care education.

From 1 March 2026, learners can enrol in Fundamentals of Palliative Care and Syringe Driver training via the Health New Zealand learning platforms Ko Awatea and HealthLearn.
