The need to update skills, keep abreast of new knowledge and developments and contribute to existing services is the focus of all health professionals with an interest in palliative care.

Hospice New Zealand is actively involved in education and workforce development. Among the opportunities on offer are Hospice NZ Fundamentals of Palliative Carepostgraduate coursesannual education scholarshipspalliative care lectures and the biennial conference.
