There has been no resolution on pay equity for hospice nurses despite three years of work and more than a $100,000 spent. This deeply frustrating situation is felt by the dedicated nurses and healthcare assistants who provide specialist palliative care every day. Our nurses deserve to be paid the same as their peers in Health NZ. As our CEO, Wayne Naylor says in this Stuff story, below. "A nurse's knowledge and skills and expertise do not become less valuable when they move to a hospice."
