Thanks to our Partner, Panasonic New Zealand, you could own an extraordinary one-off piece where premium audio craftsmanship meets contemporary New Zealand art.
Acclaimed New Zealand artist Otis Frizzell has transformed a Technics SL-40CBT Direct Drive Turntable into an original artwork, and it could be yours. Even better, every donation made through this prize draw webpage will support hospice care in New Zealand. These donations are not tax deductible as they do not meet the definition of a ‘gift’ as per the IRD rules.

Meet ‘Knock on Wood’
Inspired by Eddie Floyd’s soul anthem Knock on Wood, Otis has reimagined the turntable as weathered timber planks, right down to the illusion of protruding nails.
The textured wood effect is also a fitting tribute to the warmth and authenticity of listening to music on vinyl.

The turntable behind the art
At the heart of the artwork is the Technics SL-40CBT Direct Drive Turntable.
Technics is a name synonymous with precision audio and music culture. Designed for refined home listening, the SL-40CBT brings the engineering and heritage of Technics together in a contemporary turntable made for enjoying vinyl.
In Otis Frizzell’s hands, it has become something completely unique: part turntable, part artwork and a true one-off. Please note: Speakers are not included with the turntable.
