Nelson Tasman Hospice provides care for people who have a life-limiting illness – supporting them and their families/whānau and carers through illness, death and bereavement either in their own homes, in aged care facilities or at our inpatient unit.
Nelson Hospice serves a population of 90,000 in the Nelson and Tasman Districts and includes Murchison, Golden Bay, Motueka, Nelson and Richmond through to the Whanagamoa saddle.
Nelson Hospice offers seven inpatient beds, a specialist medical team, palliative care community nurses along with social work, counselling, bereavement, spiritual support and volunteer support . Residential aged care and rural areas are supported by specialist liaison nurses.
