As an essential health service, hospices receive the majority of funding from Government, however hospice relies on the generosity of people like you to help make up the shortfall – over $50 million nationally each year.
Make a donation in memory of a loved one or simply because you believe in the work of hospice. You can choose to support Hospice NZ or donate directly to the hospice of your choice – we’ll pass on 100% of your donation. You may also like to remember hospice by leaving a gift in your will.
Contact your local hospice to find out about fundraising events and initiatives in your local area, or to fundraise your own way! From movie screenings to marathons, auctions to quizzes – there are so many creative, fun ways you can get involved.
Become a corporate partner – it’s a great way to engage your staff, raise your profile, have fun and inspire others. Contact us to find out more.
Last year, more than 12,000 people donated their time and talents to support the work of New Zealand hospices – we are so very grateful for the difference they make in our communities.
Volunteers help hospices in a wide range of ways. Many people enjoy volunteering in their local Hospice Shop to help sort, price and sell pre-loved items that have been generously donated by the community. Others volunteer their time driving patients and their whānau to appointments, helping with reception or administration, arranging flowers and more. Each hospice is unique – please contact your local hospice to find out about volunteering opportunities in your area.
