Hospice and Dilmah, the story so far….
Since 1997, Dilmah has donated all the tea each hospice service in New Zealand could need each and every year.
Due to this generous donation, we are able to make the highest quality tea available to people in hospice care and their families, friends and visitors, and staff and volunteers.
The process of making a cup of tea, and the comforting conversations that can occur over a hot cuppa can be relaxing and therapeutic, no matter the time of day or night.
Around 11 million teabags have been donated over the years – a testament to the commitment of the entire Fernando family to New Zealand hospices. In terms of a dollar value, this donation has saved hospices throughout the country over $550,000 over the years – supporting us in our work providing care for people with a life limiting condition, totally free of charge.
