About Us

Individual membership

Who becomes a member?

Anyone with an interest in hospice palliative care - both professional and personal

Many of our members support a regional hospice, but also want to be informed and involved with developments at a national level, and access the professional development opportunities available.

Annual subscription fee from 1 July - 30 June each year is $125 (incl GST). We send renewal reminders in May each year, and you have three months to renew your membership from that time.

Membership benefits

You will receive our quarterly magazine - The Review, which has articles covering aspects of the multidisciplinary nature of hospice care, as well as highlighting specific education, clinical or industry focused topics.

Over 10% discounted registration to the HNZ Palliative Care Conference
The biennial three day clinical conference brings international and local speakers together to showcase latest research and developments in care, as well as excellent networking opportunities.

Members also receive an invitation to our Annual General Meeting (but are not able to vote) and Annual Review as well as receiving our monthly e-letter The Kowhai

Access to the Genesis Oncology Trust Breakfast lecture series - all members are welcome to join their local hospice site for these monthly one hour teleconferences covering clinical topics.

As an individual member you are able to apply for a BNI Palliative Care Scholarship programme - awards are made annually to several courses of study in palliative care.
