Cranford Hospice serves a population of about 160,000 people from Takapau in central Hawke’s Bay to Wairoa, and including Napier, Hastings and the Chatham Islands.
Cranford cares for 510 new patients and their families each year. Whenever possible it supports patients to stay at home with visits from its team of palliative care co-ordinators. More than 150 people are volunteers in domestic roles, reception duties, bereavement visiting, and fundraising to support the services Cranford provides to the community.
