Hospice Waikato covers the entire area of the Waikato District Health Board. It has three models of care - for Cambridge, Hamilton and Ngaruawhia - full hospice care and for the rest of the large region it has a collaborative model working with the district nursing staff to provide its service.

It also has a paediatric service which is child focused, family friendly Rainbow Place. This service looks after sick children and their families and also works largely with grieving children who have a sibling or significant other who has died.
