Cranford Hospice is the Hawke’s Bay region’s specialist palliative care service, providing services from Takapau to Mahia, as well as serving patients and families in the Chatham Islands.
Community and inpatient care is delivered by a multidisciplinary team of nurses, doctors and pharmacists, with family support provided by a counsellor, social worker, pastoral care person and kaitakawaenga.
Cranford is committed to providing specialist advice, support and education for other health providers and we have strong links with GP practices, the hospital palliative care team, aged/residential care facilities and community pharmacies.
The hospice also runs an equipment loan service for patients out in the community, and bereavement support groups are held four times a year.

Hospice Tairawhiti is a community based hospice providing care to people with life limiting illness and their families in a variety of settings - home, hospital or resthome. We work in partnership with existing services to provide the support and expertise required.
