Waipuna Hospice provides medical and specialist nursing care and support services to people with life limiting illness and their families in the Western Bay of Plenty community, extending from Waihi Beach to Paengaroa. Our services include inpatient and community-based nursing care, family support, bereavement counselling, massage, volunteer support, a day programme and the loan of resources such as equipment and books.
Waipuna Hospice has a 12 bed inpatient facility and is situated on 5 acres on the banks of the Wairoa River in Te Puna, Tauranga.

Hospice EBOP services are provided in the Eastern Bay of Plenty region, which includes the Whakatane, Opotiki and Kawerau districts. Patients are visited in their own homes or place of residence.
Hospice EBOP services include: Specialist palliative care nursing support – on-call 24/7, day care programmes, grief & bereavement counseling and support, volunteer family support, volunteer biography service, specialist equipment loan, coordination of fully funded palliative care beds, patient & whanau Information, education for generalists.
