At Harbour Hospice, we provide compassionate, specialist care to those with any life limiting illness and offer wrap around support to whanau and caregivers.

Our friendly and dedicated healthcare professionals include specialist nurses, doctors and family support teams, who work alongside your GP and other healthcare professionals in hospitals and the community. It’s about living every moment, whether at home or being cared for at hospice.

Together, we are dedicated to supporting your wellbeing in every way – medically, spiritually, psychologically and socially. Our range of specialist services are free of charge to people who need them. Although we receive some government funding, we rely heavily on your generosity through donations and fundraising, so that we can keep on providing the best services possible.

Following the World Health Organisation's guidelines for palliative care, the NZ Palliative Care Strategy and the NZ Cancer Strategy for Palliative Care, Amitabha Hospice Service offers free practical home help and compassionate companionship.  Services are for the elderly and people with a life limiting illness of any age and their families with specially trained and supervised caregivers throughout the greater Auckland area.

Based on principals of love, integrity, equanimity and service, each family member and staff member is accorded equal respect and compassion with regard to their individuality and uniqueness as members of the larger universal human family. Amitabha Hospice  is dedicated to developing and maintaining the highest quality of compassionate care in co-operation with other professional community services.

Mercy Hospice Auckland provides a range of specialist community palliative care and hospice services for people facing life limiting illnesses, caring for them with the utmost professional skill, compassion and quality of service. We also offer support to family, friends and carers to help them cope with problems arising from the illness and to rebuild their lives afterwards.

All our services are offered free to patients and their families, regardless of age, ethnicity, means or religion, thanks to the generosity of our community.

We support people living in the Auckland District Health Board area. This covers Auckland City and the central suburbs from Glendowie in the east to Avondale in the west, Herne Bay in the north to Mount Wellington in the south. Specialist inpatient care is also provided to people from Waiheke and the islands of the Hauraki Gulf. Our services are provided 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Hospice West Auckland exists so people with a life limiting illness in West Auckland and those who care for them experience death as a dignified and compassionately supported process.
Our community Hospice serves a diverse population of 220,000 people throughout greater West Auckland to the west coast beaches, Kumeu and Helensville, and up to the South Kaipara Heads.

At any one time our service delivery teams are caring for more than 180 patients and their families and are available 24/7. Services include community care, day programmes, respite care, complementary therapies, bereavement care, equipment, community education and a wide range of family services.

Franklin Hospice provides a range of domiciliary support services for people with life limiting illness and their families in the Franklin district. Totara Hospice South Auckland has been meeting palliative care needs of the South and the South East Auckland community now for 30 years.  Totara Hospice South Auckland is able to provide free of charge care and support for families/whanau of any person living with a life limiting illness in our community.

Totara Hospice South Auckland is a supportive and caring organisation based on a philosophy of care rather than a destination, as commonly thought.  The majority of Hospice care is based in the community, delivered by our Community Palliative Care Nursing team.  For greater care needs an In-Patient Unit- Totara House based in Manurewa is available to any person requiring care regardless of age, illness, ethnicity or need and this care is delivered 24 hours 7 days a week by our skilled IPU team.
