Hospice Southland has a six-bed inpatient facility, serves a population of about 110,000 and provides a family support team for the area of Southland, Wakatipu Basin and West Otago.
The hospice is well supported by about 250 volunteers, who are involved in meal preparation, cleaning, gardening, flower arranging, clerical assistance, fundraising, baking and promotional activities.
