During 2009 hospices and Craigs Investment Partners branches built on the success of the partnership established in 2008.
An impressive $240,000 was generated from the various branches activities.

This is a fantastic result and we are extremely grateful to everyone at Craigs Investment Partners for their hard work and enthusiasm.

Here is a selection of some of their activities;

Hospice Wanganui - Wanganui

Building on the success of their 2008 Golf Day the branch once again organised this popular event. 60 people teed off at the November event and $6000 was donated to hospice.

Gisborne Palliative Care - Gisborne

Held their first event together, a golf tournament in January, 11 teams of four people teed off and $2,200 was donated to hospice. On top of this success the local branch manager has decided to personally support the service and is now on the Board of Trustees and is looking to sponsor the iconic Annual Auction event in 2010.

Otago Community Hospice - Dunedin

As well as volunteering for hospice, the Craigs team attended the Hospice Melbourne Cup event and held various raffles in their offices during the year. Craigs Investment Partners in Dunedin are the principal sponsor of the Hospices Monarch Club, a group formed to recognise and thank people who have left a gift in their Will. Through their association with The Institute of Chartered Accountants organised for hospice to be the beneficiary of their annual golf tournament raising $3,500.

North Haven Hospice - Whangarei

Joining with another local business and hospice national partner, House of Travel 100 people played in their golf tournament which raised $6790. The team have also volunteered to collect for hospice on their street day and raised $600 from a raffle they ran.

Mary Potter Hospice & Te Omanga Hospice - Wellington & Lower Hutt

The Wellington branch has continued the association with both hospices through the Strawberry Festival (a fundraising event that both hospices hold). They help to fund the advertising of the event and also volunteer on the day, they have also volunteered for the street day collection this year.

Hospice Waikato - Hamilton

Building on the initial event they supported in 2008 the branch took four tables of 10 at the annual Chef's night out and also sponsored this event, the night attracted 150 guests and raised over $10,000.

Waipuna Hospice - Tauranga

Craigs Investment Partners are the principal sponsor of the hospices newsletter. The team also volunteered for two garden working bee's and the hospice tree of remembrance. They have sold entertainment books for hospice, organised a collection at the Women's Health Breakfast seminar and an investment seminar with Mary Holm as well as a movie premiere - hospice received the proceeds of each. The team also brought a corporate site at the Wine and Food Festival and sold Xmas cards and donated trailer loads of good for the second hand shop.

Nurse Maude Hospice - Christchurch

Building on the strength of the 2008 work the branch has continued to be a sponsor of the hospice golf tournament and also sponsor one of the Nurse Maude Community Cars. They have also done a number of collections of goods for the hospice second hand shops.

Hospice Marlborough - Blenheim

Building on the success of their 2008 golf tournament the hospice and branch again organised this event. Their efforts in September resulted in $5000 being donated to hospice from a field of 204 players, this is an increase of 36 on 08.

Arohanui Hospice - Palmerston North

The hospice and branch organised a golf tournament attracting 20 teams and raising $12,000. They plan to repeat this in 2010 and try to raise $20,000! The branch also brought a table at the hospices Black Tie Dinner and supported the local Chamber of Commerce Mufti Day by promoting it at a breakfast with all proceeds donated to hospice.

Mercy Hospice Auckland - College Hill, Auckland

The Craigs Investment Partners team have volunteered for the hospices street collection, and strawberry festival, as well as donating two cricket bats signed by Daniel Vettori for a hospice event. They also supported the hospice with their awareness week activities and held a "cup of tea" moment.
