Healthcare professionals

Conference 08

Tuesday 29- Friday 31 October 2008

It is our pleasure to invite you to attend the 18th Hospice New Zealand Palliative Care Conference at the Palmerston North Convention Centre.

The theme of our Conference is Widening the Circle – Opportunities and Responsibilities. It acknowledges the opportunities available to us in terms of innovative clinical developments, best practice, education and research and also the responsibilities we have to our patients, families/whanau and to ourselves within the wider healthcare community.

The Conference encompasses a compelling educational programme, which also features a creative side with workshops, work groups and a play performed by Centrepoint Theatre.

We are particularly delighted to have the support of the Palmerston North community by holding an art exhibition at Te Manawa featuring many of the works of Hospices around the country.

We encourage you to make the most of this valuable opportunity, to register for the Conference, be actively involved and utilise the social functions to interact and exchange ideas with fellow delegates.

We look forward to welcoming you to Palmerston North in what promises to be a great Conference.

Mary Schumacher, CEO Hospice NZ & Adrian Broad, CEO Arohanui Hospice
