For Professionals

Research

The objective of the Hospice New Zealand Research Collaborative is in the name ‘collaborative' - to play a lead role in facilitating discussions and agreement around the key areas and topics for research in palliative care.

We aim to develop research in hospice and palliative care through:

  • Coordinating and facilitating the development of a palliative care research register.
  • Facilitating a national network (a developmental group of new Zealand researchers) which the ‘interest' groups (those groups ‘doing' the research) will feed into. Existing research groups in Auckland, Dunedin, Wellington etc will all link in with HNZ Collaborative and be represented by a nominated person.
  • Membership of the group is representative of a nominated region, academic group or government department - all whom will have close links with researchers in their particular community specific to palliative care.
  • Establish a register of NZ researchers (biographies included) in palliative care with nominated topics, interest groups and contact details.

Research Register

We have compiled a register for Palliative Care Research involving New Zealand researchers for the period 2000-2009.  You can view this register as a PDF by clicking here.
