Appeal 2007

August 2007.- On behalf of Hospice New Zealand I would like to thank the New Zealand public for generously supporting the national hospice appeal during May.

For everyone who helped to make this appeal a success, whether they made a donation, held a Time to Remember or volunteered, your input and support is much appreciated.

I am delighted to say more than $850,000 was raised this year, which will go a long way to top up hospices’ funding.

Hospices provide care and support free of charge. But because they are only partially Government-funded, they rely heavily on community fundraising to cover running costs.

Thank you once again for being a part of the national hospice appeal. Your ongoing support is greatly appreciated and is vital in allowing hospices to provide quality palliative care to everyone in New Zealand who needs it.
